  • QuickStatements does not work properly.
    • Foreground mode should now work better; apparently I just plain forgot to set up the runner for the background mode, hopefully I can get to that tomorrow. --Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 22:30, 12 November 2024 (CET)
      • Background runner should be running again (though possibly quite slowly). --Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 23:06, 13 November 2024 (CET)
  • The installation is still slow, but error notes of inputs that need re-affirmation seem to be gone. --Olaf Simons (talk) 23:04, 11 November 2024 (CET)
  • not yet fully gone, had a time out on a simple description. --Olaf Simons (talk) 23:26, 11 November 2024 (CET)
  • "You are no longer logged in message" during simple input. --Olaf Simons (talk) 09:32, 12 November 2024 (CET)
This is an occasional message - presumably of a time out wile an input is expected. --Olaf Simons (talk) 10:47, 12 November 2024 (CET)
  • QuickStatements does only work on stop and run, stop and run commands in both versions, run in background does not work at all. A central issue is also the feedback from the machine to QuickStatements. An input that is eventually complete on FactGrid is noted as 50% done. The core problem seems to be speed of communication between the components. I have video recorded two inputs if this is of interest. --Olaf Simons (talk) 10:47, 12 November 2024 (CET)
  • Writing the previous over three minutes returned: "Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. You might have been logged out. Please verify that you're still logged in and try again. If it still does not work, try logging out and logging back in, and check that your browser allows cookies from this site." --Olaf Simons (talk) 10:48, 12 November 2024 (CET)
  • I had asked Erfurt's Query service before the move for big sets: All localities (Q8) all Humans (Q7) - and received sets of 360,000 items. The present installation gives a timeout on these masses. Another Erfurt query was on the localities of Poland 63,339 on a map - Jena's base does this at its limits.
No doubt the sparql query service is now slower than it was in Erfurt. See the case of https://database.factgrid.de/viewer/item/Q422187 (~3500 items). --Bruno Belhoste (talk)
  • Simple manual edits can still take some 15 seconds from looking for the item and accepting the potential edit with a save prompt to saving the input. --Olaf Simons (talk) 23:06, 12 November 2024 (CET)
  • 20 seconds to get recent changes... --Olaf Simons (talk) 07:33, 13 November 2024 (CET)
  • bibliography Harmonia does'nt work anymore. Overall, unfortunately, an impressive drop in performance. --Bruno Belhoste (talk)

...looks as if the situation has improved significantly (thanks to Jena and Berlin!). I still have to test mass inputs, perhaps others will see more clearly, --Olaf Simons (talk) 23:21, 14 November 2024 (CET)

  • Morning news: manual editing not possible. Elasticsearch switched off? --Olaf Simons (talk) 08:42, 15 November 2024 (CET)

"what links here".
