Names of new users

Hi Martin,as far as names are not in the database, new users should create their own names using https://database.factgrid.de/wiki/Batch_fragments with QuickStatements. This allows the creation in the necessary languages of this multi lingual project with a single edit. Just try it! Regards from Germany, --Martin Gollasch (talk) 14:03, 30 November 2021 (CET)

Translating the Labels of items

Hi Martín, I see you are translating the labels of items. Translating properties is a stupid affair as we cannot use QuickStatements here. But if you want to translate the labels on items I can show you how to do that faster: You ask on a whole field with the Query service, use Deepl or Google to translate, check the translation, feed it into the machine with the QuickStatements. Let me know if you want a brief online course on it. --Olaf Simons (talk) 09:02, 16 January 2022 (CET)

Items that are not yet anything

Hi Martin, looking through your latest items. It is good practice to give all oitems either a Property:P2 (is a...) or a Property:P3 subclass of statement. Sometimes this is difficult as that might require a next statement - like "Manicule" is as a "graphical element" (I created the object). If you miss a next class of items, you can create it or call the thing a "Basic object", so that we can find these things again in regular searches. Let me know if I can give you an introduction (a short online talk) into Wikibase. Best --Olaf Simons (talk) 08:59, 7 February 2022 (CET)

Catchword

Are you really sure, that you wanted that not as an Item nor Property?--Martin Gollasch (talk) 09:25, 7 February 2022 (CET)

double item?

Hi Martin, are these the same: Item:Q393549 and Item:Q394236 ? Give items at least a statement on what the are P2, or a P3 statement of class-attribution. You avoid double records if you link to Wikidata (in the special "Other sites" field). --Olaf Simons (talk) 23:07, 16 February 2022 (CET)
