Komponist beliebter Tänze und Märsche sowie des "Pariser Einzugsmarsches" von 1814, auf die Melodie gibt es ein Spottlied in Gotha "in der Reinhardsbrunnerstraße hat sich ein Würstelmann erhängt und warum hat er sich erhängt, weil er die Würstel hat verschenkt" ; in Rücksicht auf seine “Unvermögenheit” ohne die gesetzlichen Gebühren angenommen, nach dem Protokoll vom 08.02.1808 von der Loge „Zum goldenen Apfel“ in Dresden mit besten Wünschen für Gotha entlassen
