A lodge with the name ‘Jerusalem Lodge’ held a warrant dated the seventeenth of December 1731, although it may have been in existence before this date. But it is probable that the name was not acquired until 1759, when the lodge moved to the ‘Jerusalem Tavern’ on Clerkenwell Green, having previously met at the ‘Three Tuns’ in West Smithfield
