Note

6. März 1919: Gesetz über die Bildung einer vorläufigen Reichswehr. Vom 1. Oktober 1919 bis zum 1. April 1920 wurden die Streitkräfte der sogenannten Vorläufigen Reichswehr in das 200.000 Mann starke „Übergangsheer“ transformiert. Gleichzeitig entfielen die bisherigen Verbände und Dienststellen der alten Armee. Über den Zwischenschritt von 150.000 Mann im Oktober 1920 wurde bis 1. Januar 1921 die endgültige Heeresstärke von 100.000 Mann erreicht.
