Das Lager der „Volksdeutschen Mittelstelle“ in Frohnleiten diente als Übergangsstation. Von dort wurden die Kinder nach Deutschland gebracht. Die Jüngsten gab man an deutsche Familien zur Adoption frei, die Älteren brachte man in Umerziehungslager.
