But they seem to have been different ensembles - see: "Friday, 3 March 1732 Handel’s oratorio ‘Esther’ was privately performed by the Academy of Ancient Music at the Crown and Anchor Tavern in the Strand. This was only its third performance, the two earlier ones having been given there by the members of the Philharmonic Society on Wednesdays 23 February and 1 March."
