Johann Bartholomäus Zweck. (-)1810-1823- Buchdr. Verleger /Deutschland/ Zweck war Geselle, dann 9 Jahre Faktor bei Baumeister, hernach über 10 Jahre bei Schrämb und schließlich Faktor bei der Witwe Anna von Georgias Vendotis. Er nahm die Tradition seines Vorgängers Vendotis auf, druckte und verlegte für die griechische Kolonie in Wien. Bei Zweck erschien auch die griechische Zeitung Ellenikos Telegraphos (1813-1836, 1812 bei Anton Strauß), ferner Schriften von Haschka [...]. Als man in der Wohnung von Davidovic eine Druckerpresse fand, die angeblich Zweck gehörte, wurde er wegen Umgehung der Zensur verurteilt. Seit 1823 war Ulrich Klopf Geschäftsführer der Firma.
