:I had already stated the 1743 as "preferred" information to alone appear on searches - the 1740 value has the "deprecated" marker respectively. I now added a complete statement but it is actually sufficient to set these markers when saving: you do this on the strange little set of arrows before the respective input field. Once you have noted information as preferred the other information will no longer appear in searches. It is good practice to keep mistaken dates as such in the system so that the other researchers can see we have seen the alternatives and understand how we decided. --[[User:Olaf Simons|Olaf Simons]] ([[User talk:Olaf Simons|talk]]) 10:09, 28 February 2020 (CET)

birthday of Diethelm Lavater: 3 October 1743. 1740 is certainly a error. See the hsl : [1]. See also the file Geneanet [2] which is directly based on the genealogische Tabellen by Wilhelm Hofmeister (see [3])--Bruno Belhoste (talk) 09:54, 28 February 2020 (CET)

I had already stated the 1743 as "preferred" information to alone appear on searches - the 1740 value has the "deprecated" marker respectively. --Olaf Simons (talk) 10:09, 28 February 2020 (CET)
