Historian at the Gotha Research Centre of the University of Erfurt. PhD: on early modern fiction. 1999-2002 Researcher and co-author of the Bertelsmann commissions report Bertelsmann im Dritten Reich with an ensuing project on corruption in Germany's book trade during the years of World War II. 2006-2009 teaching position at the Universiy of Oldenburg. Since 2010 at the Gotha research centre, from 2013 to 2016 with the Illuminati research project (Illuminatenaufsätze im Kontext der Spätaufklärung: Ein unbekanntes Quellenkorpus; since 2017 involved in project on the sciences in Gotha around 1800 (Gotha um 1800.
