Statements
im März 1942 durch SS-Obergruppenführer Oswald Pohl gegründet. In ihm wurden das ab 1939 bestehende SS-Hauptamt Verwaltung und Wirtschaft und das Hauptamt Haushalt und Bauten des Reichsinnenministeriums zusammengefasst, die beide ebenfalls von Pohl geleitet worden waren. Das WVHA verwaltete die SS-eigenen Industrien, Gewerbe und Betriebe in den Konzentrationslagern und führte diese zu eigenen Konzernen zusammen. Dabei arbeitete das WVHA eng mit dem SS-Hauptamt zusammen. Ab 1942/43 war ihm das gesamte Konzentrationslagerwesen allein unterstellt (German)
