Primary source and holding Institution

Hi Maïwenn, Primary source P51 should linkt to a document. The "Archives départementales de la Loire-Atlantique" would be mentioned on the document's side with P329 Holding institution and the shelfmark as Qualifier. At least this is how we did it so far... --Olaf Simons (talk) 16:42, 27 November 2022 (CET)

Hi Olaf Simons
Ok, thanks for the notification. I'll correct that for the first event I've imported.
Is this item ok for P329 instead of P131 : Item:Q465301 -- Maïwenn Bourdic (talk) 17:04, 27 November 2022 (CET)
  • P131 should note your project - this is an extensive item on P131: Item:Q11305
  • P329 notes where a document is located. We also have P185 "Archives at" to note the archive of an Institution - why not also of an event? I'd use P185. --Olaf Simons (talk) 17:31, 27 November 2022 (CET)

My mistake : I wanted to say "P329 instead of P51", like I did on Item:Q465301, instead of Item:Q465300.
I'm not convicted by using P185 (WD P485) because on Wikidata it concerns archives producted by a person / family / institution, not archives which concerns someone (it was really not that clear when the property was created on Wikidata).
If P31 could also refer to "File" (instead of Document), i could create an item "File" for each archives reference and newspaper, and add them as Primary source P31 for each events ?
For example on Item:Q465260, 1 M 2310 could be like that :
  • Len :File on strikes and coalitions in Loire-Atlantique (France) (1893)
  • P2 : File
  • P329 : Archives départementales de la Loire-Atlantique
  • P10 : 1 M 2310
If not I will modify every P51 by P329.
Thanks for your advices --Maïwenn Bourdic (talk) 13:44, 29 November 2022 (CET)
