Apparent conflation

While the current English and French labels designate this concept as a "mythical entity", the German label "Mythisches Wesen" is closer to "Mythical being", i.e. a lower-order class of Mythical Entity. The German alias "Fabelwesen" (mythical creature) is even more specific. Jonathan Groß (talk) 09:59, 20 November 2023 (CET)

We should be far more specific and we will need a data model page for these things. Mythical entities should not stay in the "fictional realm". My initial data model was looking for contexts: Item:Q165605 --Olaf Simons (talk) 10:36, 20 November 2023 (CET)
We can follow Wikidata's example, they make the same distinction. There are already several databases in this field (MANTO, Mythoskop), we won't have to reinvent the wheel. I can create a basic ontology here in time. Jonathan Groß (talk) 10:56, 20 November 2023 (CET)
Good to have, I have just created a project page at FactGrid:Beings in particular understandings of contexts --Olaf Simons (talk) 11:07, 20 November 2023 (CET)
I removed the misleading aliases, added a more specific Wikidata sitelink as well as new descriptions in English and German. Jonathan Groß (talk) 18:49, 20 November 2023 (CET)
